Ringer Recommendations

Tired of dot gloves leaving smudges on your bells or being too floppy? Tired of finger pain and calluses? Below are some products to consider. Links are NOT affiliate links.

Gloves

Light, tight, and smooth, these riding gloves provide airflow through the mesh backing, don't snag on handles when switching 4iHed bells, and don't leave marks on the bells.

They also come in many different colors!

Finger sleeves

Excellent for 4iHers, especially in the battery, these sleeves provide extra protection for the hot spots such as on thumbs, pointer fingers, and middle fingers.

You can use these with or without gloves! Search around for the best deal and/or colors.

BellCozy

These pads help protect a heavy metal ringer's hands from the weight of the bell by providing a cushion between hands and handguards.

Ensemble Recommendations

Below are some links to products that may make your life easier! Links are NOT affiliate links.

Riser bag

The dimensions of this bag are perfect for risers! It holds either 5 old-style acrylic risers or 8 (maybe even 9 or 10) new-style acrylic risers. It also comes with a shoulder strap that frees up your hands to carry other things.

Marking bands

Marking your bells with these rubber bands is super easy and super cheap! For chimes, use 3 rubber bands at the base of the clapper rod. For bells, use 5 rubber bands just under the handguard. They do not interfere with ringing! You can even mark the clasps on your cases, depending on what kind of clasps the cases have.

Search for "loom bands" and you'll find plenty of sources. Tip: they also frequently pop up in the clearance section at craft stores.

Case tags

In addition to marking your equipment, don't forget to mark your cases! They're rubbery so they don't accidentally slice your hands and they fit a business card inside them.
